Rolf Lislevand

Rolf Lislevand (Dr phil h c) is a professor at the University of Agder, Norway; a professor of lute, improvisation and historically informed performance practice at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Trossingen, Germany; and a professor of lute, improvisation and chamber music at the Lyon Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse, France. Lislevand was granted an honorary doctorate by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 2018, and he is considered one of the foremost early music performers of our time.
